Dr. Eli Edwards grew up in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Denver, Colorado, in 2018. He graduated from the University of Colorado Doctor of Physical Therapy program and previously earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology and a Master of Science degree in Human Physiology, with a focus in neurophysiology and concussion, both from University of Oregon. During his time at University of Oregon, Eli published research on the effects of concussion on muscle function. His background in academic research on neuromuscular conditions provides him a unique lens and treatment approach for all conditions, stages of recovery, and functional longevity.
Eli is one of less than 10% of all physical therapists to hold distinction as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and possesses comprehensive expertise in treating various orthopedic conditions. Eli is passionate about high-level training, aiding athletes in reclaiming their peak performance, and helping all individuals maintain optimal physical resilience throughout life. He works with all individuals ranging from weekend warriors to seasoned professionals, skillfully bridging the divide between conventional injury rehabilitation, sports activities and state of the art training methodology to ensure each client can excel in their desired pursuits.
Eli provides an individualized, evidence-based treatment approach that meets each patient’s specific goals. His treatments emphasize patient education, hands-on symptom modification, and personalized exercises that allow clients to feel confident in their plan of care and empowered to self-manage their injuries between treatment sessions.
In his free time, Eli appreciates learning about innovative and creative research involving athletic performance optimization, maintaining optimal function throughout life, and recovery as it relates to rehabilitation and competition. Outside of the clinic, Eli enjoys CrossFit, cooking, skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing.
